A. Sebastian Lopez-Chiriboga, MD is a neurologist with specialty interest in autoimmune neurological diseases. Following his Neurology residency at Mayo Clinic Florida (2013-2017), he completed his fellowship in Autoimmune Neurology (2017-2018) at Mayo Clinic Rochester. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Mayo Clinic Florida, where he also serves as director of the Autoimmune Neurology Clinic.
Dr. Lopez' research and clinical interests focus on characterizing the neurologic phenotypes, radiographic biomarkers treatments and outcomes of patients with neuroimmunological disorders. He evaluates and treats a broad spectrum of inflammatory disorders that affect the central nervous system and aspires to develop better treatments for patients with autoimmune neurological disorders. He is the site co-lead for the ExTINGUISH Trial at Mayo Clinic in Florida.
