As part of its ongoing mission, the NeuroNEXT network is dedicated to identifying areas of high need in the field of neurology and working with the broader research community to develop trials which seek to meet those needs. The NLOC is an annual conference held either virtually or in-person with the goal of identifying one or more proposals of high priority that address an unmet need for therapeutic development. Each year, a different disease/area of unmet need is selected for the conference by the NeuroNEXT Executive Committee based on feedback from network members and stakeholders.
This conference is organized by the NeuroNEXT Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) and Data Coordinating Center (DCC), in conjunction with an investigator from a NeuroNEXT site who is a disease expert in selected area. Invitations are open to the broader community, including representatives from industry, foundations, and patient-centered groups.
