Kelsey M. Smith, M.D. is a neurologist and epileptologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She completed medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She subsequently completed neurology residency and fellowships in epilepsy and EEG at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. She is currently an assistant professor of neurology. Her main areas of clinical and research interest include autoimmune associated seizure disorders and genetic generalized epilepsies. She plans to start a clinical trial studying the use of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to treat generalized epilepsy during her NeuroNEXT fellowship.
