Dr. Long is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry (primary) and in the Department of Biostatistics (secondary) at the University of Iowa. Dr. Long has been a NeuroNEXT Lead Biostatistician since the beginning of the Network and has worked on several NIH-funded grants related to neurodegenerative diseases, especially Huntington’s disease (HD). His work focuses primarily on developing indexes of disease progression for studying the natural course of neurodegenerative disease and for clinical trial planning. He currently assists investigators with HD and other projects in the Network.
