Gretchen C. Scott, BS, BSN, RN

Gretchen C. Scott is a Clinical Research Project Manager in the NINDS Division of Clinical Research (DCR). Gretchen is a Program Official for the Strategies to Innovate Emergency Care Clinical Trials Network (SIREN) and several other clinical trials. She serves as the NINDS DSMB Liaison to the NeuroNext Network. Prior to joining DCR, Gretchen was a Research Nurse Specialist in the NINDS Division of Intramural Research (DIR) Surgical Neurology Branch (SNB) for 12 years where she served as the Clinical and Regulatory Research Coordinator of natural history and Phase I/II trials focused on the neurosurgical treatment of patients with Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, glioblastoma, Cushing’s disease and VHL/NF2. She also functioned as Project Manager for the SNB’s clinical research data management initiatives. Prior to joining NIH/NINDS, Gretchen was an accomplished Pharmaceutical Project Manager after obtaining a BS in Biology. She later pursued a BSN degree and was a certified Critical Care Registered Nurse and worked in Medical/Surgical ICU with a specialization in cardiac ICU care.
