Mrs. Miller will actively participate and assist in coordinating existing and new NIH funded trials at Wake Forest to support the disease specific area.  Her role will include implementing and identifying site resources to support NeuroNEXT Research projects as well as help manage other NeuroNEXT activities.

Mrs. Miller obtained her Associate of Science degree in the Nursing from Jefferson College of Health Sciences (formerly, Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley, College of Health Sciences).  Mrs. Miller joined Wake Forest Baptist Health in 1987.  In addition to her experience in critical care nursing, she has spent the last 29 years working as a clinical studies RN in Cardiovascular, Neurosurgical and Neurological clinical research.

Mrs. Miller is currently overseeing the regulatory management for the NeuroNEXT Program.  She is responsible for assisting with the regulatory submission of all protocols, amendments, SAE’s, annual reports to the central and local institution review boards.  She also prepares submissions of regulatory documents for research regulatory and local bio-safety committees. She works with other study personnel to coordinate patient visits and will assist with data entry when required. Ensures all clinical trials are in compliance with the FDA and IRB regulations and conform to the protocol requirements.
