Jennifer Vermilion, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University (2007) and her medical degree from the University of Rochester (2012). She received her pediatric (2014) and child neurology (2017) and experimental therapeutics training (2019) at the University of Rochester. She has been on the faculty since 2019. Dr. Vermilion is boarded in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology. Her research interests include Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinoses (NCL), tics and tic disorders, and movement disorder semiology in TANGO2 Disorder. Dr. Vermilion is the site PI on several industry sponsored clinical trials on NCL and Tourette. She has authored multiple manuscripts in pediatric movement disorders, including NCLs and Tourette syndrome. She has been the recipient of the multiple awards including the Clinical Research Training Scholarship in Tourette Syndrome, NIH Loan Repayment Program award,, Enhanced Resident Child Neurology Leadership Program, Doran J. Stephens Prize: for promise of becoming an inspiring teacher, talented investigator, and kindly and able physician, Robert J. Joynt Prize: for clinical neurology, Donald and Elizabeth Cohn Endowed Scholarship Fund, University of Rochester CTSA award number TL1 RR024136 , University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry merit scholarship.
