James Berry

Dr. Berry is an Assistant in Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. He is Co-Director of the MGH Neuromuscular Division and of the MGH ALS Unit, and he is an Associate Medical Director of the MGH Neurological Clinical Research Institute (NCRI). He received his medical degree and Master’s of Public Health from Northwestern University and completed his neurology and neuromuscular training at Harvard Partners. He is an active ALS clinical researcher with a commitment to collaborative research. He designs, leads, and conducts multicenter studies and trials aimed at identifying new therapeutic targets, discovering novel ALS biomarkers, and testing potential new therapeutics in people.
